Children’s Services

Throughout the year we have children’s services using our new prayerbook, Siddur Kol Hano'ar: The Voice of Children. On Friday evening we gather for a potluck dinner, followed by a service. Rabbi Laurie tells stories, and our teens, as well as our individual Bet Sefer classes, lead parts of the service. This is a meaningful way to teach our children about Jewish prayer and to allow them to experience the spirituality of Shabbat.

On Shabbat morning we have a variety of children’s services, including Tot Shabbat for ages 0-5 and a Family Learner’s Service where Rabbi Laurie teaches about the various components of the service.

During Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur adult services, we have special children’s services, which give children opportunities to engage with the holidays at their own level.
