Congressman Mark Pocan: The Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza

Congressman Mark Pocan: The Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza

A joint project of Congregation Shaarei Shamayim, First Unitarian Society, Jewish Voice for Peace Madison, and Madison Rafah Sister City Project invites you to attend our major fundraising event on Tuesday, November 20, 7:00 p.m. at First Unitarian Society, Atrium auditorium.

This fundraising event will be free and open to the public. It will include a presentation about the water crisis in Gaza, where nearly 97% of the water is unfit for human consumption and let attendees know how they can help to provide clean water to over 3,250 children and their families by helping us purchase a water filtration system for a school in Gaza. We will also enjoy the musical talents of the local band, Beat Road, the inspirational words of Congressman Mark Pocan, the fellowship of our social justice community, and light refreshments. We need to raise $16,000 to install this water filter and we hope you can attend and invite your friends to join you to help us meet our goal. If you are unable to attend, you can make a donation here.
