Young Families

Young Family Havurah

Our Young Family Havurah is an opportunity to create Jewish community with parents and their little ones. Geared for parents with children ages 0-5, we gather for monthly playgroups, tot Shabbat morning services, and holiday celebrations. Some of our members have Shabbat dinners together and go on outings around town. It’s not necessary to be a member of Shaarei Shamayim to join. Simply email our office manager to be added to our email list.

Kesher: Creating a Jewish Community with Little Ones
Parents and their 2-4 year-olds are invited to join us to read Jewish stories, sing songs, do craft projects, and build community. Kesher means connection, and this is an opportunity for parents and children to connect with others in a welcoming Jewish environment. These sessions will be led by our children's education chair, Christina Kantor and coordinated by Adam Streiffer and Taiya Bach. We'll meet from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at RISE, 2120 Fordem Ave, on the following dates: Oct 7, Nov 4, Dec 2, Jan 20, Feb 10, Mar 3, Apr 7, and May 5. All are welcome - $36 for members, $54 for non-members. Scholarships available. Register here or contact Joy at office@shamayim.org to learn more.
