Our congregation’s Covid-19 Advisory Committee of healthcare professionals and public health experts has recommended the following policies, which have been passed by our Coordinating Committee.

  1. Participants are required to wear masks at all in-person services and programs when held inside. Service leaders, Torah and Haftarah readers, shofar blowers, and people speaking during the services are permitted to take their masks off while they are on the bimah.
  2. Masks are optional for outdoor programs.
  3. We ask that anyone who is eligible to be vaccinated and chooses not to do so to refrain from attending in-person events taking place indoors.
  4. The balcony is reserved for a limited number of people who would like to sit farther away from others. To reserve a spot please contact the office at office@shamayim.org.
  5. Our Yom Kippur break-fast will be held indoors. Masks are not required at the meal or when people are taking food.
