CSS members are invited to join us this summer at Jeff and Sheryl Spitzer-Resnick’s cabin on Goose Lake. Spend the weekend in a beautiful setting, go canoeing, grill out, and relax around the campfire. We’ll have Shabbat programming for kids and adults alike. Get to know other members and friends of Shaarei Shamayim and deepen your connection to our community.

Program: We’ll have casual Shabbat activities (art, singing, discussions, games, etc.) starting at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. We’ll tailor it to young children, older kids, tweens, teens, and adults – so please RSVP to help us plan. We’ll also celebrate havdalah together after darkness falls. Bringing musical instruments is encouraged!

Overnight guest information: Anyone who wants to spend the night is welcome. However, depending on how many people spend the night, some folks will need to camp out. If you must sleep indoors, RSVP right away, and Jeff and Sheryl will reserve either a bedroom or a place in the loft (which might be on the floor – so bring sleeping bags).

Food information: Jeff and Sheryl will supply drinks and everything to eat and cook with. They’ll also have plenty of food for snacks and meals. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share as well as anything you want to grill for yourself. When you RSVP please indicate in the notes section how long you intend to stay.

What to bring: In addition to food, you might want to bring sunscreen, bug spray, hat, comfortable shoes to go hiking, water shoes, towel, bathing suit, warmer clothes for night, camping equipment, musical instruments, books, games, balls, and anything else you’d like!
