When

This year we are adding on an optional night. Join us on Friday, January 9 for Shabbat dinner and Saturday morning programming. Or come on Saturday morning, January 10. We conclude after lunch on Sunday. Please note that this retreat is reserved for members of Shaarei Shamayim. If you are not a member and would like to join in time to attend, please email Jane. 

Friday night check in begins at 5:00 with dinner at 6:00 p.m. Following dinner we will have a Shabbat service. If you are arriving Saturday, you are welcome to come to Saturday morning programming. Please arrive by 11:00 a.m. so we can check you in before lunch. Checkout time is at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Where / Lodging

The retreat will be held in a retreat center outside of Madison.

Please bring your own bedding (sheets, warm blankets/sleeping bag, pillows and pillowcases) and towels. The beds are twin or double size, depending on the room. If this will be a challenge, email Jane.

Meals

All meals are vegetarian, but if you have food allergies or sensitivities, please add this information in the Notes when you register, and we will share this information with the retreat chef.

Cost

We are committed to making this affordable for everyone. To that end, the congregation is contributing $1,000 from our annual budget to offset the costs. As this is a deficit budget year, any additional donations are encouraged for those who are able. We are also offsetting additional costs for families with children to attend, as we don't want participation to be cost prohibitive. We want to make this event as inclusive for members as possible and have budgeted for scholarships as necessary. Please email Jane if you have questions.

Please register below. The Winter Retreat is one of the few member only events. If you would like to attend, please make sure your membership is up to date if you are a current member or email Jane or call 608.257.2944 about joining.

Guests who do not wish to stay overnight can register for the day on Saturday only without reserving a room.
